Centre for Social Economic Empowerment and Development in Sierra Leone with acronym (C-SEED/SL) is a woman, youth, Disables and child centered Christian, non-governmental and nonprofit making organization that was established as Community Based Organization (CBO) on the 17th September 2017 by a young Sierra Leonean whose name is Abdul-Rahman Edward Koroma. In 2020, C-SEED/SL was able to register as National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) with deep passion to promote human dignity with regards to the holistic human capital development and to advance the course of humanity in a country that is gradually recovering from horrendous human rights, past war, Ebola, mudslide in Freetown, frequent health emergencies especially Corona virus pandemic and economic degradation. C-SEED/SL is officially registered with, Registrar General Office, Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs (MSWGCA), Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Food Security (MAFFS), Ministry of Health, National Revenue Authority, Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organization (SLANGO), Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED), National Youth Commission and Local Councils, among others. The organization seeks to strengthen partnership links to empower and improve the lives of women, children, the disables and youths through agriculture, health, education, economic empowerment, child protection and other social interventions in boosting humanity for God and Humanity inspiring people and changing lives in Sierra Leone and the world. VISION STATEMENT Strengthen vulnerable and marginalized women, children, disabled and youths to enhance the spirit of self-reliance and sustainability. MISSION STATEMENT Developing the social, economic, physical and emotional well-being of our direct and indirect beneficiaries through partnership and integrated programmes. 4. GOALS 1. To promote and facilitate access to education at the trio level (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) in line with national development programmes 2. To promote and improve coordination and reporting amongst education duty bearers in all operational districts 3. To promote the socio-economic wellbeing of every Sierra Leonean especially women and other disadvantaged sects in society. 4. To provide opportunities for youths to develop their skills and potentials by initiating youth-friendly programmes and entrepreneurship schemes 5. To promote and provide health related activities in schools and communities in Sierra Leone 6. To promote agricultural initiative to enhance food security in Sierra Leone 5. OBJECTIVES 1. Improving access to basic education for all, especially girls, with improved learning outcomes in all C-SEED operational districts. 2. Capacitating education duty bearers (DEOs, LCs, SMCs, CTAs, MCs, CWCs, etc.) to meaningfully contribute to enrolment, retention and regular attendance of school-age children in our targeted communities. 3. Minimizing teenage pregnancy and improve re-enrolment of ‘in-out-of-school’ pregnant girls and youths on to completion 4. Eradicating poverty among Sierra Leonean women, youths and other disadvantaged sects e.g. disabled through generation of employment opportunities, income generating activities, providing skill-based training, imparting new technology in agriculture etc. 5. Initiating self-employment ventures for disadvantaged Sierra Leonean youths, disabled, and women, Organizing youth-related leadership/personality development programmes. 6. Stimulate health activities in schools and communities to enhance awareness, practices and prevention of community health challenges CORE VALUES: C-SEED/SL shall conduct 30 minutes daily morning worship to God our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, starting from 8:00am to 8:30am. As the organization’s motto implies “For God and Humanity”, this will build the spiritual faith and knowledge of staff on the word of God. The morning devotion shall be the spiritual support to strengthen and capacitate staff towards the fear of God with regards to project implementations, having in mind the core values which include: i.
