Movement For Education and Advocacy Network Salone is Non Governmental Organisation registered with the central government of Sierra Leone and hold service level agreements with line ministries. MEANS -SL is a multi-sectorial programme that aims at helping vulnerable and less privileged girls, women and youths. We build the capacity for communities to gainfully involved in their community development before, during and after project development. This ensures a sustainable, positive change at the community level. Given the widespread of tennage pregnancies and women empowerment and livelihood problems in Sierra Leone. MEANS has been implementing an innovative project entitled: Supporting expectants and young mothers to return to education or find meaningful employment in society. The project seeks to empower girls who have dropped out of school or learning centers due to pregnancies and want to return to education or find meaningful engagement in societies. The project includes family tracing and reunification, child care support, mediation, mentoring and scholarship in both formal and non-formal education. MEANS Is always looking to network with other like -minded organizations discuss/adopt best practices or for possible collaboration. We believe that together we stand to make a more significant impact and transform the lives of world's most vulnerable people especially young mothers and girls.
