The concept of establishment is the recognition of the enormous challenges facing our development making our society to be deprived in some areas. Fortress of Development for Africa (FDA) believes that voluntary engagement and commitment to act as a platform for social inclusion will enhance equality and supports a more diverse and well-prepared society for sustainable development. FDA intervention areas are as follows: Agriculture, Energy, Environment, Education and Entrepreneurship, Peace, and Social Justice. These cross-cutting issues include addressing competing demands and integrate actions in line with other Africa’s sustainable development priorities such as Water, Gender Equality, Health, Climate Change, Sustainable Tourism, Industrial Development, and Ecological Degradation. The establishment of Fortresses of Development for Africa in The Gambia is in line with African Union Agenda, promoting diversification towards economic, social, and cultural sectors with long-term potential. FDA is set to create a platform that can add huge value to people and society by providing opportunities to develop sustainable solutions, which can be a steppingstone to involvement in the conservation of the genetic resources of the earth to help support efforts in promoting sustainable development.
