Positive Peace | Ethiopia is a youth-led civil society organization dedicated to fostering positive peace in Ethiopia, registered under certificate number 5821 in the Authority of the Ethiopian Civil Society Organization. Our aim is to engage and empower young people across the country in order to develop a society that values nonviolence, conflict resolution, social justice, equity, and well-being. We work relentlessly to achieve a more peaceful, just, and prosperous Ethiopia via advocacy, community mobilization, capacity-building, and partnership with a wide range of partners. With the goal of engaging and inspiring young people across the country to create a society that values nonviolence, conflict resolution, social justice, equity, and well-being, PPE establishes a "youth-focused peacebuilding" initiative. Under this initiative, PPE was planning a workshop called "Harmony Nexus - Youth-Focused Peace Building" as part of this endeavor, which is extremely important in lobbying for the integration of peacebuilding agendas inside every youth-led organization. By emphasizing the significance of peace as a core working area, this workshop not only amplifies the impact of these organizations but also addresses a critical need in our society. Peace is the bedrock upon which all progress is built, and youth-led organizations are uniquely positioned to drive meaningful change. By embracing peace as a central tenet, these organizations can proactively address conflicts, promote dialogue, and create safer, more inclusive spaces for collaboration. This workshop empowers youth to be agents of peace, equipping them with the tools to foster understanding, empathy, and unity in their communities. In doing so, it paves the way for a more peaceful, just, and harmonious future, where the collective efforts of youth-led organizations truly make a transformative impact. Similarly, in a world where differences can occasionally lead to conflicts, it is critical to equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to promote peace and unity, and youth-led organizations are more likely to engage in such activities as part of their overall goal.
