CISE Malawi is a local NGO established in 2014 and incorporated under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP. 5:03) of the Laws of Malawi. It is registered with Council for Non-Governmental Organisations of Malawi (CONGOMA) and NGO Regulatory Authority of Malawi as legally recognized NGO. CISE Malawi’s mandate is to uplift the living standards of the youth (90% of them being volunteers) through sustainable economic and social empowerment resulting from accessibility of information, skills and services through capacity building and advocacy initiatives. Currently CISE Malawi is the Coordinating desk for Good Deeds Day in Malawi, Volunteer Involving Organisations Society (VIO Malawi), Global Network of Volunteering Leadership (GNVL Malawi) As provided for in its constitution, CISE Malawi performs its activities in pursuit of the following objectives; To advocate for quality, equitable and improved service delivery in health, livelihood and education sectors in a youth friendly manner. To promote youth inclusion in decision making positions in order to shape the experience and leadership skills among them. To advocate for good governance, rule of law, gender equality and respect for human rights at grassroots and national level. To advocate for enabling policy environment aimed at creating access to social, economic opportunities and entrepreneurial skills among the youth in Malawi and beyond. To safeguard, promote and protect rights of vulnerable groups with much emphasis on the youth (volunteers) To build the capacity of the youth with skills to mitigate the effects of disasters and climate change and to become resilient to such effects.
