Who are we? Citizen Impact Organization (CIO) Women led Malawian based Non-profit organization which was found in April 2018 by Chimwemwe Banda who is a gender equality activists. And established on 13March 2020,It is locate in Luwinga Mzuzu. It works in areas of Gender Equality, Girls education empowerement, youth Empowerement and career guidance, Mental health, women Entrepreneurship and Skills Development; as well as Environment and Climate Change. CIO believes that the potential of women and youths is the driving force of our country’s collective prosperity. What we do? We advocate, empower, and lead change among women and girls in communities by empowering young girls in schools and communities with skills and knowledge on how to make reusable sanitary pads as a way of improving their menstrual hygiene; empowering single mothers in entrepreneurship through tailoring and fashion designing, piglet farming, and bee farming, motivating young girls in both primary and secondary schools to attain their goals; empowering youth economically; and addressing burning issues to do with Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Mental Health. The organization also aims at engaging youth and women groups in sharing and learning; and mobilizing resources in supporting vulnerable old age groups.
