Rwenzori Youth Initiatives for Development (RWEYIDA) is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 2005 to address the rights of vulnerable and marginalized groups of people. It is a registered Charitable Organization with the Ministry of Internal Affair (National NGO Board) File Number MIA/NB/2005/10/3086. Registration Number: INDP57603086NB. Vision of the organization: The organization envisions a transformed youth and other marginalized groups with improved livelihood for sustainable economic development. Mission: The organization was formed as an initiative to advocate for the empowerment of the youth and defend them from abuse, violence and any kind of exploitation. Objectives of the organization: 1. To transform and improve the livelihood of the youth and other vulnerable groups. 2. To strengthen and create awareness on the rights of the marginalized groups and empower them with skills to defend their rights for Emancipation and Development. 3. To enhance and promote co-existence, anti-corruption attitudes, accountability, transparency and other policies that promotes good governance for sustainable development of the communities in our areas of operation. 4. Support economic empowerment of the youth with life skills training, planning and apprenticeship skills development. 5. Support and care for the vulnerable children and orphans through education, feeding, clothing, accommodation, provision of medical and other basic care for people growth and development. 6. Promote sustainable conservation of the environment and natural resource for sustainable development and protection of nature. 7. Improve health of the communities through provision of health services.
