Children and Youth for Peace Agency – Sierra Leone (CYPA-SL) is a humanitarian, Non-Governmental, Non-profit making Youth Led Civil Society Peace, Human rights advocacy and development organization established in enhancing and promoting Peace, Rights of Children, Youth Empowerment and also addressing issues on the needs of both direct and indirect vulnerable and marginalized Children, Women, Physically Challenged (Disabled) and Youths in the society. The organization was officially established in 2009 by patriotic Sierra Leoneans (Youths) who voluntarily utilized their available resources to bring the organization to reality… CYPA-SL has officially registered with the government of the republic of Sierra Leone and other Agencies/Networks who helped legalized our operation in the country; such as: the Ministry of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs, Ministry of Youth Employment and Sport/Youth Affairs, the National Youth Commission, District Council, City Council, the Civil Society Movement/CSO, the District Human Rights Committee, Paralegal Association etc. Our targeted Programmes is chiefly gear toward;  Sensitization and creating awareness in communities and the country at large on Peace and non-violence education including prevailing issues and concerns related thereto;  Establishing specific and doable programs; projects and activities to address issues and concerns on the Protection and Promotion of Rights and Welfare of Children, Young marginalized and vulnerable women, the Disabled/Physically challenged and also advocating on Youth empowerment and inclusion in good governance in the country.  Networking with other non-governmental organizations, Govt. Agencies, Community based programs, including Youth Organizations and schools within the division and region, with regard to the support and assistance to programs, projects and activities of the organization.  Encourage community participation and initiative in enhancing Peace, Human rights, development, Youth Empowerment and Inclusion in good governance etc.
