4HER Initiative is a female-led and female-centered nonprofit organization based in Sierra Leone, set up in August 2018 by like-minded women civil society activists and rights defenders. Our ambition is to positively impact the livelihoods and well-being of vulnerable and deprived girls and women in impoverished communities across the country. In so doing, we strongly endorse the African dictum which says that: “when one empowers a woman, you empower the whole nation”. The motto, ‘Every Girl Matters’, implies that every girl regardless of her social stratification, deserves the opportunity to quality education, health, social protection, and the support to pursue her ambition in order to enjoy a better life and future.
