The African Union Youth Volunteers Corps (AU-YVC) is hosting its very first virtual training for the 11th Cohort. The programme was designed and built with the vision to promote volunteering, and to further immerse young people as participants in the delivery of Africa's human development targets and goals.
Youth volunteerism is a powerful tool for Youth Empowerment and a catalyst for the continent’s development. Over the past 10 years, AU-YVC has given young people from all over the continent, 12 months of volunteering experience. With 668 having served their continent over the years. The AUYVC receives around 10,000 applications per call and to date, 64, 744 young people have applied to be part of the program.
In true virtual fashion, the training has been filled with exciting online activities such as TikTok Challenges, Tweeting experiences.
