OCL Storytelling Grant Programme

We believe the ocean is one of our most undervalued assets. Stories have the power to inspire action, change perspectives, and protect what we love.That’s why every year, Ocean Culture Life provides Storytelling Grants to creators around the world — giving them the funding, platform, and support to bring ocean stories to life.

Now entering Year 4, our grants have already supported projects in over a dozen countries, reaching millions worldwide.

This year, we’re levelling up: £50,000 in grants across two rounds in 2026.

Prerequisites
All applicants must submit the following materials:

1. A 1–2 minute video pitch including:
✓ Your name and location
✓ Project location
✓ What your story is about and who it supports
✓ Grant theme (Inspire / Educate / Protect)
✓ Why this work matters
✓ How you’ll tell the story
✓ The change or impact you hope to see

2. A short PDF (max 2 pages) including:
✓ Budget breakdown
✓ Timeline
✓ Intended impact

3. Links or PDFs of previous work
✓ This form can be saved and continued at a later time.

✓ Protect the Ocean and
✓ Storytelling to educate Communities about the need
to protect the Ocean

✓ Funding upto £50,000
