✓ The CIPC Intellectual Property (IP) Youth Awards 2026 is a national platform designed to recognise and support young South African innovators, entrepreneurs, creators, and changemakers who are developing impactful ideas, technologies, and ventures.

✓ Hosted by the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), the awards celebrate innovation, creativity, and the strategic use of intellectual property to build sustainable businesses and drive economic growth. The initiative encourages youth to protect their ideas through intellectual property and transform them into commercially viable solutions.

✓ Participants will have the opportunity to present their projects to a panel of experts, gain national recognition, receive expert feedback, and connect with leaders in business, innovation, and intellectual property ecosystems.

Applicants must prepare and submit the following information:
✓ A concise one-sentence concept description of the project
✓ A clear explanation of the business model
✓ Names and roles of team members
✓ Details on current revenue and funding requirements
✓ Up to three supporting documents such as a pitch deck, prototype overview, brochure, or research summary.
